Khellendrathas Dreamscape: 2008-2012

We need more KhellBell
Kind of insane that I've been playing SecondLife for five years. I've gained and lost a number of friends during that time. I've created a few things, put together a ton of different looks, bought too many skins to rationalize needing, and my shape went from being store-bought to one that I continuously tweak and perfect and love. I did the roleplaying thing, the relationship thing, the hangout/clubbing/karaoke thing, the perving around random fetish sims thing as well. And for a brief moment in time I even helped a friend run an escorting service by being the intimidating manager lady.

Nowadays I tend to just work on store stuff, shop, and play dress up. The friends that are sticking around are already in my Skype and Facebook or just a phone call away so I have no need to idle in SL to chat with them. I still have the guy that chased me for a long while then dated me for a brief moment on my friends list though we never talk. I assume he still seeks popularity and companionship through the thin veil of pixel-bumping and adamantly calls it serious roleplay. I guess at some point I need to clean house again. Maybe it'll happen when I actually sit down and successfully organize inventory with tens of thousands of objects in it. <____<;

It was funny and sad going through the old screenshots. Seeing people that came and went through my second life. It's like first life except sped up and with random furries and latex-clad dommes, heh. I hope to stick around for more memories and more...weirdness. It's an interesting addition to my RL that I hope to keep for years to come.

Bleached Shirt Giftie

Found a bleached shirt design tutorial on Reddit. What I ended up making is a Phyrexia shirt from Magic: The Gathering for a friend.

Influenster Review

I discovered Influenster back in...March(?) from a few friends' statuses on Facebook. The swag (loot not swagger) seemed pretty interesting so I signed up. I managed to get myself a Beauty VoxBox which definitely had a lot of items I've never tried before and a few things I had been meaning to purchase.

What I like about Influenster is that you put in some effort and you have the chance of getting some pretty decent free stuff. All you have to do is discuss, review, and answer questions on the site. I've tried the sample box thing with Birchbox and MyGlam (now Ipsy) and they just don't cut it. I guess it may be the fact that I have to pay a monthly amount to get random trial-sized items selected by people who think they know me just from a few questions.

When I get a VoxBox, it's actually free (with full-sized products) and all I need to do is tell people what I think about the products. I pay for the chance at a VoxBox with my time. And if you're already on Sephora or Best Buy or Amazon or where ever leaving reviews already, then this isn't going anywhere off-course for you.

I know some will complain that they liked the previous set up where I'm guessing it was more random rather than putting consistent effort but when it comes down to it, free is free. And when they provide the opportunity to get something for essentially nothing, should you really be whining about it? Let's face it, you'll be messing around on the internet anyways, you might as well log on and do a review or two. Just watch less cat videos.

Cosplay: The Love/Hate Relationship

Zoey (Left 4 Dead Photoshoot)
I began cosplaying at A-Kon 19. It was my first major con. Before that I had only gone to one other smaller "convention" that was run by the local university's anime club. A friend of mine invited us (plus borrowed my talking Pikachu for his costume) so we drove the 20-30 minutes to this backwater town's convention center. Now I think back on the memories, it wasn't that great. They had a drawing contest, a cosplay contest, a booth for low-quality cheongsams, kimono bathrobes, and display katanas. But it was new to me and interesting.

Beat Down Boogie's Epic Cosplay Vid (Dragon*Con 2012)

So gooood!

Game is preloaded and ready to play! If anyone is interested, my Steam name is Khellendrathas. Friend me and we might be able to play together. Wouldn't that be spiffy? Sorry to those with an Xbox. (Not really.)

I would like to also give special thanks to Justin Z. and Whitney W. for their contributions thus far towards my fundraising goal for Extra Life 2012. I'm taking ideas on what to give as a prize for those who donate. If you ask for a car or something ridiculous, I will give out a My Little Pony. Just sayin'. So! Hit me up with suggestions!

Extra Life 2012

I will be participating again in the Extra Life Fundraiser. This will be my second year playing games for 24 hours straight to raise money for my chosen charity. This doesn't work without sponsors so if you wish to donate even just a little to the cause, please do so. It would be very much appreciated. Sure, playing games sounds fun but after the 10-15 hour mark it becomes taxing, haha. I might try and think up a raffle or maybe stream live during the 24. Updates to follow closer to the day.

Girlfriend Mode?

Just to preface this, I'm not one of those types of gals that run out to grab the pitchfork and torch whenever I see something sexist in gaming. I'm a fan of such games like Bayonetta and Catherine and I find entertainment in breast physics and scantily-clad female fighting game warriors. But I really can't grasp why of all things Borderlands 2 decides to add a skill tree with assisted targeting and basically call it "girlfriend mode".

Dragon*Con 2012 Group Cosplay

Apparently the sister unit and her crew have decided to do a Magic: The Gathering Planeswalkers group cosplay this year for D*C. The list is Gideon, Elspeth, Karn, Chandra, Sorin, Garruk, and Liliana thus far. Dok has decided to do Sarkhan and I'm still on the ropes of what I should do.

They have brought up me doing Tamiyo which would include white makeup a big white wig setup and droopy ear things. At the same time, I've been eyeing Kiora (the fishy one in the back right in the picture below) but that would be even more full body makeup, a big finned headdress and what is basically the mermaid shell bikini. Ugh. Guess it depends on how fit I can get before costume crunch time.
Edit: Looks like I wasn't able to get anything done in time for Kiora. Plus the idea of liquid latex layers and curing times in a hotel room didn't seem that entertaining to me. I will stick to my original plan of cosplaying an Illuminati Soldier from the PC MMORPG The Secret World.
