Influenster Review

I discovered Influenster back in...March(?) from a few friends' statuses on Facebook. The swag (loot not swagger) seemed pretty interesting so I signed up. I managed to get myself a Beauty VoxBox which definitely had a lot of items I've never tried before and a few things I had been meaning to purchase.

What I like about Influenster is that you put in some effort and you have the chance of getting some pretty decent free stuff. All you have to do is discuss, review, and answer questions on the site. I've tried the sample box thing with Birchbox and MyGlam (now Ipsy) and they just don't cut it. I guess it may be the fact that I have to pay a monthly amount to get random trial-sized items selected by people who think they know me just from a few questions.

When I get a VoxBox, it's actually free (with full-sized products) and all I need to do is tell people what I think about the products. I pay for the chance at a VoxBox with my time. And if you're already on Sephora or Best Buy or Amazon or where ever leaving reviews already, then this isn't going anywhere off-course for you.

I know some will complain that they liked the previous set up where I'm guessing it was more random rather than putting consistent effort but when it comes down to it, free is free. And when they provide the opportunity to get something for essentially nothing, should you really be whining about it? Let's face it, you'll be messing around on the internet anyways, you might as well log on and do a review or two. Just watch less cat videos.
